Summer Solstice!

Summer Solstice!

As a team this year we finally made it the few miles up the road from The Cow Shed to the World famous English Heritage site at Stonehenge, for the beginning of the longest day of the year! The celebration of the Summer Solstice saw us awake at 2.30am and take the amazing journey to the site of the old stones.

Watching the sun rise between the heel stone at 04:50 was truly breath-taking. Listening to the faint drumming and gentle cheer as the large golden sun was in full view really was spectacular!

With open access to touch the stones and really feel part of history, if you get the opportunity to witness this one year, I fully recommend it!
